Configure and deploy the Assessment
Step 4 of 8: turn the framework into the assessment people complete
This step translates the framework and the maturity criteria into structured questions, scoring logic and report requirements. What is collected then maps directly onto what the decision needs.
The assessment is configured for consistent use across partner relationships and deployed at the level the work requires.
What this step involves
Together we specify:
- The structured questions, written against the framework and maturity criteria.
- The scoring logic that converts responses into levels.
- The report requirements, so the output matches the decision.
- The level at which the assessment runs: one relationship, a portfolio or across a tier boundary.
- Whose perspective is included.
The last two choices determine which application of the Oversight System is in use.
Why it matters
Configuring the assessment before anyone responds fixes the basis on which every answer will be scored and reported. That is what allows results from different relationships, and from different dates, to be compared with confidence.
