Deeper Alliance Reviews
Does leadership have the oversight it needs to make confident decisions about the alliance environment?
The Self-Assessment establishes whether a gap could be present. The Baseline Assessment establishes your overall oversight position, and whether further examination is justified.
Where a specific challenge needs more evidence, a Deeper Review focuses that same evidence-based approach on your organisation, your partners, or the gap between the two.
Each Review is scoped and costed to what it's actually examining, not sold as a fixed package. But every Review runs on the same eight-stage Oversight System behind the Baseline Assessment itself. The difference is where it's pointed, not how it's delivered.
Whether the focus is governance, partner capability, operating model effectiveness, commitment, execution, or alignment between organisations, the underlying question stays the same, and so does the discipline used to answer it.
Specific Reviews
One system, eight applications
The eight conditions on the homepage aren't abstract categories. Each one is a specific, evidenced question a Deeper Review can answer.
The first four examine what's creating the gap: strategy, visibility, alignment, and operating model. The second four examine how it's showing up: governance, reporting, partner comparison, and partner capability.
Every Review can be run at whatever scale the question requires: a single relationship, a function, or your entire partner portfolio. Run at scale, the same assessment applied across multiple partners is returned as a heat map, showing both depth (how exposed any one partner is) and breadth (how exposure is distributed across the portfolio). That's only possible because every Review runs on the same underlying system, not a bespoke process rebuilt for each engagement.
Each Review is scoped and costed to what it's actually examining, not sold as a fixed package. If your challenge doesn't map cleanly to one of the eight, the Bespoke Review is built around the specific question you need answered instead.
Alliance Strategy
Test whether an alliance still reflects the business problem it was built to solve.
Establishes whether the original rationale still holds, or has drifted without anyone deciding it should, and what that's costing in decisions made on an inherited case. Scored for a single relationship or, across the portfolio, returned as a heat map showing where drift is most concentrated.
Leadership receives: a clear, evidenced view of whether the strategic rationale still holds, where it's drifted, and what a revalidated business case and clear ownership should look like.
Alliance Portfolio Visibility
Establish whether leadership has a reliable view of the whole alliance ecosystem, not just the partners currently getting attention.
Consolidates existing information across the portfolio and tests how confidently leadership can currently rank partners by risk, identifying where the view breaks down, by function, by relationship, or by how the information is held.
Leadership receives: a consolidated view of the ecosystem, a risk ranking across the portfolio, and a clear account of where visibility is currently strong and where it's missing.
Internal Alignment
Establish whether the functions involved in an alliance actually agree on what it's for.
Tests how far sales, delivery, product and leadership genuinely align on purpose, ownership and priorities, and where those views diverge in ways creating friction or conflicting decisions. Scored for one alliance or, run across several, as a heat map showing internal alignment.
Leadership receives: a clear map of where internal stakeholders align and where they diverge, and what a shared statement of purpose and ownership should look like.
Alliance Operating Model
Determine whether your operating model is keeping pace with the work it's expected to support.
Examines how alliance responsibilities, processes, systems, information and capabilities work across functions, identifying where fragmented processes, weak handovers, limited capacity or dependence on individuals are affecting consistency, partner support or commercial progress.
Leadership receives: a current-state view of the operating model, areas of friction and duplication, capability gaps, and a prioritised pathway for improvement.
Governance & Decisions
Establish whether governance and reporting are actually producing decisions, not just activity.
Tests whether responsibilities, decision rights, escalation and reporting give leadership what it needs to act, or whether activity and historical data are creating a stronger impression of control than the evidence supports. Scored for one relationship or, across the portfolio, as a heat map.
Leadership receives: a clear view of current governance, decision ownership and reporting quality, where each is falling short, and the changes required to close the gap.
Reporting and Evidence
Establish whether the information behind an alliance can actually be trusted.
Tests how current, consistent and verifiable the evidence behind a relationship actually is, evidence that's often scattered across systems, spreadsheets and individual knowledge, accurate in pieces but unreliable as a whole. Scored for one relationship or, across several, as a heat map showing where evidence is weakest.
Leadership receives: a clear picture of where reporting is reliable, where it's fragmented or stale, and what a single, trusted source of record should look like in reality.
Partner Portfolio Review
Identify which partners justify investment, development, intervention or reconsideration.
Scores selected partners, or the wider portfolio, against one consistent standard, strategic fit, contribution, capability, commitment, market relevance and risk, rather than each reviewed in isolation against its own criteria. Returned as a portfolio heat map.
Leadership receives: a portfolio heat map, clearer partner segmentation, and an evidence base for prioritisation, investment and rationalisation decisions.
Partner Commitment
Establish which partners are ready, able and willing to deliver.
Looks beyond certifications, programme status and stated intent to establish what a partner can currently support, and what they're genuinely prepared to commit to. Scored for one partner or, across the portfolio, as a heat map showing where capability and commitment are weakest.
Leadership receives: a capability and commitment profile, readiness gaps, development priorities, and a clearer basis for partner investment decisions.
Bespoke Review
A focused review for the challenge you need to evidence.
Built around a specific business question, partner group, relationship or leadership concern, comparing both sides of a relationship, a partner's experience of working with you, or preparation for a significant investment. Scope, respondents and evidence requirements are agreed in advance.
Leadership receives: a structured, evidence-based review focused on the decisions it needs to make, supported by the strength of the available evidence.
Wherever the gap is, the evidence holds up.
The same rigour, wherever you point it.
Every Review above runs on the same eight-stage Oversight System behind the Baseline Assessment itself, the same maturity model, the same evidence discipline, the same scored, benchmarked output. What changes is scope: which condition is being examined, and at what scale, a single relationship, a function, or the whole portfolio.
That consistency is what makes the output defensible. A finding from a Deeper Review isn't one person's judgement call, it's a position leadership can take upward, tested against evidence, benchmarked against a model, and built to hold up under scrutiny.
If you already know which condition is costing you the most, the Review above gives you the evidence to act on it. If you're not yet certain, the Baseline Assessment will show you where the gap is largest, and which Review closes it.
Either way, the next step is the same: a conversation about what you need evidenced, and what it will take to get there.
